Extend your Spa's life with regular cleaning and maintenance

By cleaning and maintaining your spa you will increase its life span and give you an enjoyable spa experience, every time.

Spa cartridge filters remove debris as well as oils and greases from the spa water. Body moisturisers and hair products can create a scum build-up in the filter. It is important to clean the filter under a hose every two weeks, and soak in a cleaning solution 3-4 times a year. Filters should be replaced every 12 months.

It is also very important to not have any floating items of clothing is the spa. These can get stuck and block the pump.

CD Ozone is a powerful oxidiser of contaminants in the water. Ozone reduces the need for high chemical doses, helps destroy bacteria, viruses and algae, oxidises other contaminants, reduces odour, prolongs equipment life and reduces maintenance.

The water in a spa needs to be tested regularly and chemicals added to ensure the water chemistry is ideal for use. Improper water can shorten the life of the spa shell, plumbing, jets, filter, heater and pumps. Using the correct chemicals in the correct combinations is an essential process, manufacturers will present guidelines for safe chemical use and storage. Water makeup varies across New Zealand, you can have the 'source water' tested before filling the spa to see which chemicals need to be added to balance the acidity / alkalinity and whether your water source contains too much or too little calcium.

Safe storage of spa pool chemicals a is essential, please store away from where children can access them and where there could be risk of fire.
